Reliance Jio is enhancing the viewing experience for its customers by introducing the JioTV+ application, compatible with Android TV, Apple TV, and devices using Amazon's Fire OS. Previously, this app was only accessible through the Jio set-top box that accompanied Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber subscriptions. Now, users can enjoy more than 800 digital TV channels in various languages and genres, all from a single account with the JioTV+ app.

According to a recent announcement by Reliance Jio, the JioTV+ streaming application is now operational on all major smart TV platforms. It provides a single login option for several streaming services, advanced navigation features, compatibility with smart remotes, and tailored suggestions based on user preferences. Additionally, viewers can search for content by selecting filters for language and category.

This application grants access to a broad range of 800 digital TV channels that span categories including news, entertainment, sports, music, children's content, business, and spirituality. Customers using Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber can also enjoy offerings from 13 leading OTT platforms, including JioCinema Premium, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, and FanCode. There is a dedicated section for children's content, featuring selections designed specifically for younger viewers.

To download the JioTV+ app, users should visit the Google Play Store for their Android TV devices, and can follow comparable procedures for Apple TV or Fire OS-powered TVs.

However, not every subscriber of Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber will have access to the new application. Its availability is restricted to users enrolled in specific qualifying plans. As stated by Reliance Jio, the JioTV+ app can be acquired on Android TV, Apple TV, and Amazon Firestick TV, with support for LG OS devices anticipated shortly.

It is important to note that individuals using Samsung TVs that do not run on Android TV will be unable to utilize the app, as it is not compatible with Samsung’s software. For those who don’t own a smart TV, acquiring a set-top box will be necessary to gain access to this service.
