Game Informer's recent update discloses that the character design tool for Dragon Age: The Veilguard will offer an abundance of personalization choices, enabling users to greatly individualize their main characters. Moreover, intricate advancement mechanisms are committed to offering a wider range of customization.
The choices you make in terms of armor and equipment will vary depending on the character you're considering. Each party member is equipped to carry an armor piece, weapon, ring, and accessory. However, the protagonist, known as Rook, has more extensive capacity, including two weapons, two rings, a helmet, an amulet, and a belt. Notably, the effectiveness of your healing potions is controlled by your belt, whilst high-quality belts may confer additional unique benefits, such as temporary invulnerability.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard also promises class and character-specific armor and gear. This means certain game items are designed exclusively for a particular class or character.
At the character creation stage, players can preview "aspirational" armor to see what Rook's mid to late-game armor may look like. This feature will be useful if the look impacts your decision-making process at the onset. You will also be able to see how Rook appears in casual attire in less intense cinematic scenes. The game will further boast a comprehensive transmogrification system.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC this autumn, although an exact release date has not been confirmed yet.
